Hospital Indemnity Insurance
Hospital Indemnity insurance from MetLife helps cover your cost if you are hospitalized due to an accident or illness. This plan is beneficial if you are enrolled in a high deductible medical plan to help offset your expenses, such as:
- Testing
- Treatments
- Therapies
- Extra out-of-pocket costs
Hospital Indemnity coverage is available to you in addition to your core medical plan, but it does not replace medical coverage. It pays you a flat amount on the day you are admitted to a hospital as well as a per-day amount for each day of a covered stay. Eligibility
Eligible teammates and dependents can elect coverage anytime during the year, regardless of prior health history. If you would like to enroll in Hospital Indemnity insurance outside of your new hire or open enrollment period, please log into UKG and select “Change to Voluntary Coverage” as the Life Event.
