Accident Insurance
Benefits tailored around you
Accident Insurance
Accident insurance from MetLife provides a cash benefit in case of accident or injuries. With MetLife, you’ll have a choice of two plans (called the “Low Plan” and the “High Plan”) that provide payment in addition to any other insurance payment you may receive. Here are just some of the covered events/services. Benefits provide coverage for:
- Hospital stays
- Fractures
- Dislocations
- Physical therapy
- And more
The cash benefit is yours to use to help offset out-of-pocket medical expenses (deductibles and coinsurance), or other everyday costs – such as household bills. Accident insurance doesn’t replace your medical plan, but is meant to supplement it and benefits are payable regardless if you are enrolled in any other insurance plans. You can claim Health Screening Benefit ($50/ year for Low Plan & $100/ year for High plan) if you complete one of the covered screening/prevention tests. Review Health Screening Claim Form for more information.
Eligibility
Eligible teammates and dependents can elect coverage anytime during the year, regardless of prior health history. If you would like to enroll in Accident insurance outside of your new hire or open enrollment period, please log into UKG and select “Change to Voluntary Coverage” as the Life Event.
